I was exceptionally tardy for eye exam that neeeed for the DMV. Despite missing my appointment Shirley helped me figure out a solution. We got the form completed. I had an old pair of glasses that seemed beyond repair and she was able to restore them. Finally I had been looking for sunglasses and she really helped me find a pair that are comfortable, stylish with some swagger. Throughout the gamut of issues Shirley resolved everyone. She was warm, genuine and made me feel heard.

I was refused my booked eye appointment because I showed up 10 minutes late. There was no other customer in the store. Reps told me any appointment more than 5 minutes late is canceled. Nowhere is this policy stated on their website or was it explained to me at any point before I booked. When I called the customer service hotline they said there was no such policy and asked if I could return to the store because now the reps could see me. I refused. At that point I had returned to work, and had canceled my order. Warby glasses break and scratch easily but were an ease to purchase -- I think given the decline in service I will be going to the higher quality competitor.

With a deep knowledge of Warby Parker frames — she immediately recognized my battered yet much beloved Begleys from 2011(!) no less — she effortlessly guided me on my "sightseeing" tour to find my next pair...or rather two since I concluded my journey with prescription eyewear AND sunglasses. Well versed in logistics (I wanted my frames in time for an upcoming trip), affable (I felt like I was chatting with a friend) and tasteful (I kept nodding my head to her stylish curation of glasses for me to try on), Shirley was hands down the. best. part. of IRL shopping.
