This location offers comprehensive eye exams for glasses and contacts. If you've never worn contacts before, we offer complimentary training (with any order) on how to insert, remove, and care for your contacts.
You don't need anything but your eyeballs to peruse and try on our frames. If you're planning to purchase prescription frames or contacts, it's helpful to have a digital or physical copy of your current prescription. If you'd like to pay with an FSA or HSA card, remember to bring that along, too.No prescription handy? Not a problem! You can come in just to browse, shop for non-prescription sunglasses and accessories, or can book an eye exam at most locations.

I went to Warby Parker in NYC at 73 5th avenue. The entire visit, as always, was wonderful. I want to give praise to the Dr., as well as Nikeem who is sooooo kind and talented, Danny, and Kim. They all helped me get the right prescription and the right styles for me, which is not easy because I tried on so many styles. They are all so wonderful and really know what they are doing.

I had a mix of experience. Staff was excellent, knowledgeable and patient. Eye exam was also very good, but I didn’t receive my glasses anywhere near the quoted timeframe. I didn’t get them until after I left the city for work.
I left the city for my ship job without them, paid a lot extra for Warby Parker’s “rush service” and then had to pay again to get the glasses shipped from my mailbox in NY across the entire country. By the time I got them, I was leaving to go back to NYC. It was a fiasco. Just the Warby Parker part was 3 times the amount of time that I was quoted.

Lamont is a standout optometrist, whom you can find at Warby Parker Union Square. I have had consistently positive experiences with him over the course of time. You can count on Lamont to skillfully present his expertise in the eyeglass frame selection process, while listening to your expectations and offering valuable feedback. A thoughtful and experienced pro.
The “proof in the pudding” is the fact that I reside about 40 blocks from his store location. Why do I travel out of my way? Because I’m always a happy customer!

Great selection and great advisors! As a Libra trying to choose glasses ... Bailey had me model my selections and gave me great feedback for my choices. When she wasn't sure about insurance coverage she sought out her manager who had all of the answers. (Not easy to figure out the actual versus the logical when it comes to insurance coverage.) The optician even made time to make sure the pupil distance figure was correct (different notations from past scripts).
If for whatever reason your eye doctor didn't get the prescription right (It happens!) and you need to revisit to have it revised, WP will REMAKE another pair for you within the month. All frames are also recycled, fyi.
Warby Parker on Fifth Ave. is a friendly, upbeat place where you can try on anything without pressure and where the staff will give you quality care. "See" for yourself! ;)

I had the weirdest and worst experience at this store. A staff trainee treated me with an incredibly arrogant attitude, making the entire shopping experience terrible and uncomfortable. Even though I made a purchase, the trainee seemed to assume I would return the product and acted very dismissively. Their behavior was shockingly rude, even shrugging and telling me, “Do whatever you want.”
At one point, he repeatedly asked, “You remember everything I said, right?” When I asked for clarification, he just repeated the same sentence without offering any actual help. Then, when I asked for a paper receipt, the staff member walked away without a word, leaving me completely confused. It makes me wonder—was this trainee even trained properly?
This level of disrespect and unprofessionalism is unacceptable, and I will definitely think twice before returning to this store.

Worst experience for a simple eye exam. Even though I was only five minutes late, they wanted me reschedule because the doctor "felt" I was too late (get more doctors). The frustrating part is that when I arrived, no one was available to assist, and they took their sweet time coming out to check me in, which took longer than the five minutes.

Excellent, attentive, pleasant & educated staff. The selection of frames is extensive and easy to get to. The store is bright and clean. The process was quick. I was in and out with two new frames and lenses ordered in a flash. The prices are unbelievably reasonable. A major bonus is their matching program for those in need. Very happy with my first visit .

Absolute L of a store. First time I went in they got the measurement for my eye exam completely wrong and prescribed me with their own brand of contacts which did not fit at all. Then, I come back and get turned away for being 5 minutes late which is a ridiculous policy for anyone who knows anything about NYC transit. Employee ls with not even an attempt to try and help or accommodate.

Super friendly staff all around.
Came in for a regular eye exam. Ended up paying extra 35 for a service I did not request. They tagged on the digital retinal imaging without my consent when I rather would have done the free and traditional dilation.
Disappointed with that up charge and I should have gone to my usual Warby Parker at the main showroom.
