We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
The well-known portion of an eye exam where you read from a chart of progressively shrinking letters until they're too small to see

Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

Lee was very helpful and friendly was very patient with our questions. Helped with decision on eyewear wasn’t to pushy on which way to go. Definitely will go back to see Lee. The Doctor was amazing. She was very patient with us during our exam. Answered all of our questions. She made sure we understood everything that she was doing. Would definitely recommend. I originally went to another eyeglass retailer and they tried to rip me off and tried to overcharge me for my lenses. I heard about Warby Parker through a friend of mine and I decided to go into the Warby Parker in the Staten Island Mall and I met with Frankie and she was extremely helpful. She helped me pick out a ton of frames. Let me know which ones look good which ones didn’t and she didn’t try to push me towards the more expensive frames. She was honest which I really liked and She was very knowledgeable.

I came in today because I lost my glasses. I had already ordered a new pair, but the delivery takes about two weeks, and being without them made it really hard to see. As soon as I walked in, they assisted me right away by providing contacts to use until my online order arrives. Everyone was welcoming, kind, and efficient. I would definitely recommend this location.

I had an outstanding experience at Warby Parker Staten Island. I had purchased frames 2 years ago from WP in NJ and unfortunately, the frames cracked in two. The staff here were able to replace the frames without any hassle and was able to adjust my other pair of glasses without issue whereas a branch in NJ said they could not make that adjustment (Thank you, Andy for fixing them!!). Compared to some of the other eyeglass stores in the mall, Warby Parker by far has the best and most knowledgeable staff. I will definitely be purchasing new frames from this specific Warby Parker branch again in the future.
