Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
The well-known portion of an eye exam where you read from a chart of progressively shrinking letters until they're too small to see
The part of the exam that determines your prescription for corrective lenses (if you need them)
A screening for issues like glaucoma and cataracts, and for signs of other health conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and more
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Insurance, FSA, and HSA
Whether we’re in- or out-of-network with your carrier, you can use vision insurance to save at Warby Parker . (We accept FSA and HSA, too!)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

I've always had a "thing" for WARBY PARKER frames. I've picked up 5 pair of them over the years. And the on line try-on/ordering process has always been smooth and helpful. But, I wished they had a retail outlet in my city. And in Rochester, NY - they do!! In Eastview Mall. It's like scanning the website IRL with all the frame options right there to immediately try on and compare side by side. The team members are attentive - without being "too attentive" - and quickly checked my insurance benefits (WP does not take my insurance but that didn't impact my purchase) - handled my order and took my HSA for payment. I'm a fan of WP's mission of donating a pair for every pair of glasses purchased. I'm a fan of WP's styles (too many look good - hard to choose). And now, I'm a fan of their store.

Very friendly staff, attentive and helpful with finding similar styles that refine elements we were looking for. Proactive with questions in helping to narrow down choices. Also very patient and didn't feel rushed ever when making the purchase despite the store being very busy. I had a great experience at the store. The employees were the right amount of helpful, answering my questions and assisting me with my insurance but not following me around the store. I appreciated that Katie took the extra time to triple check whether they accepted my insurance, and then helped make it really easy for me to get reimbursed when it turned out they didn't.

We had a great experience here and were happily surprised by how much easier and less cumbersome it was to order our glasses from Warby than any other store we have been to in the past. The staff was incredibly friendly and very helpful and our salesperson spent a lot of time making sure that my daughter was happy with the glasses she had chosen and reassuring that if once she got them and some reason she decided that she didn't like them that we could return them without a problem. There is also a wide variety of glasses from traditional to modern styles as well as, various types of materials they are made from, available based on your preference.

My glasses broke - one of the arms just fell off while I was watching TV. Took them to Warby Parker to see if they could repair them (was pretty sure they wouldn't be able to). I was right. I asked for options and the optometrist agreed that he could put the lenses in another frame, but was skeptical that he would have a frame that would fit. He looked anyway and found one! Took out my lenses, put them in the new frame and we were in an out in around 30 minutes. Great experience! Recommended.
