Comprehensive exams starting at $85
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $35)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

My daughter and I went in with our prescriptions and were immediately greeted by an employee, Tony, who was extremely helpful. He showed us the different frames, talked with us about insurance and costs, gave us space to try on all of our different frames, spoke with us about discounts when buying multiple pairs, and took our measurements right there. We ordered two frames and feel really good about the quality and style. Both of us were in and out within 30 minutes, which was great because I had my other kiddos with me. I was also excited to learn they do adjustments in the store, too. I was originally hesitant to purchase from Warby Parker because I have always had designer frames, for the past 35 years. But the selection was great and the staff was super helpful. I feel really good about this switch.

Ari and Tony were both very helpful. I came in because my frames were broken and not only did they find me a new pair but they also put my lens into them too. If that isn’t the best service. I highly recommend them to everyone and I’m really thankful for their help!

I’m not sure if I have bad luck with glasses, but I’m on my second pair since oct 2024. I’ve had to bring them in every single month to get them tightened, sometimes the screws would completely fall out, I would have to tape my glasses. I also got anti scratch lenses, somehow they seem more scratched than any glasses I have ever had. At a certain point we mention getting a new pair because coming in every month is insane. We were told no. You can just come get them repaired here for free is what they told me. Okay. About a month ago we’re back again to get them repaired for the umpteenth time. At this point they just fall off my face. We decide to bring up getting new ones, and the person had told us. Unfortunately we can’t give you new ones because you’re coming up to a year since purchasing them, which sure I can understand. But this was the same person who told us no and to keep coming back to get them repaired. I had to get my entire frame replaced paying full price. For a defective product they were aware of. I hate to write negative reviews, or call anyone out. But the product and service I have gotten here has been below acceptable.
