We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
The well-known portion of an eye exam where you read from a chart of progressively shrinking letters until they're too small to see
The part of the exam that determines your prescription for corrective lenses (if you need them)
A screening for issues like glaucoma and cataracts, and for signs of other health conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and more
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Insurance, FSA, and HSA
Whether we’re in- or out-of-network with your carrier, you can use vision insurance to save at Warby Parker . (We accept FSA and HSA, too!)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

Chelsea helped me today and she was very attentive.
So many frames to choose from. Glasses are mailed within 2 weeks I opted to have the clip-on sunglass - my last glasses that I got from a big eye glass store ended up taking months and was double the cost.

I bought glasses here a couple of years ago and have really enjoyed them. Two days ago I dropped them in a parking lot and, while they were found and turned in at the store, the temple was bent completely flat- 45° from where it belongs. I took them in to Warby Parker intending to try to use the lenses in a new pair of frames, but the optician was amazingly able to repair my frames! She spent a lot of time to carefully adjust the hinge so that it is now in perfect condition. I am thrilled and impressed. And very appreciative.

First time using Warby-Parker. Recommended by my daughter. I will admit the main reason was pricing. The last pair bought at a standard eye center cost me $700, new ones were going to be $600 for one pair. I got 2 pair for that price thru your franchise. The attendant (Halle) was very knowledgeable, informative and helpful. the entire experience was quick, pleasant and professional.

This review is not for the store it's for the company overall. I ordered a pair of glasses on January 7 and on January 30 cancelled the order due to it not moving thru the system. They were just sitting there in the build stage. I was promised that they would have the order by the end of the week, which would have been the 30th, but no movement at all. They promise two weeks delivery. I guess for some.

Went for my first experience to get glasses through Warby Parker. Not a great one. I made the appointment for the same day that I called.. When I walked in which I was on time, they were calling someone else back to do an exam at the time I should’ve been going. I asked about this and I was told They were running behind at This point I was waiting for 25 minutes. I rescheduled for the next day walked in on time and I was told they could not file for insurance. They were not set up yet. I told them the day prior that I had insurance and they’re just figuring this out and telling me this on my second Appointment. They didn’t know this the day before on my first appointment? I just left.

Store was busy but I was greeted immediately and asked what I was looking for. Representative answered my questions and directed me to my area of interest.
