Dr. Peter Chao
Introduction
Dr. Peter Chao is a state-licensed optometrist who graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2000. Specializing in primary care optometry, Dr. Chao uses cutting-edge technology and clinical expertise to perform a comprehensive eye health exam—prescribing eyeglasses, fitting contact lenses, evaluating eye health, and more for patients ages 4 and up.

Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

Dr. Chao is terrific, first of all. Smart, efficient and respectful. I love that no one asked me, "how is your day going so far?". Very short wait time. Easy pricing. I'll return. I think more seniors should know how straightforward Warby Parker is, many seniors don't have vision insurance and Warby makes is easier.

ZERO stars. Customer service number doesn’t know their upper end from their bottom end. At the store, they tried to pull off a pink tint of theirs as being the FL-41 lens my Dr said to get, but not have substituted. Dishonest, and a waste of my time, but found a really nice store mngr nearby at another place I could get glasses from-and he was honest, sincere, and kind. All things considered for wasting about two hours of my life tonight with Warby Parker, I wouldn’t wear their glasses if they gave me some me for free!! Go elsewhere!! Visionworks at The Village about 7 minutes from Warby Parker store… go see mngr Austin, or his staff- sale of Buy one Get one free through January, AND they take my glasses insurance EyeMed, which Warby Parker doesn’t take.

Zachary was very kind and respectful. He helped me find two perfect pairs and helped give many options. Each option helped listen to an insecurity or tried in a different color. Horrible service I waited almost 2 weeks for my glasses and nothing. I had to call them only to find out they needed a PD measurement, even though I had gone into the store and had them personally measure me while I was there. They did tell me it would take 10 to 14 days before I got them. I was OK with it but now I’m leaving to go out of the country and I have no glasses. I was so angry that they never let me know that they were not processing my classes. I canceled the order and asked for a full refund lesson learned no more Warby Parker. Iggot better service at Walmart

Internet company with a store front. 14 days to get your glasses is not true, when you chat they say they will get answer to you in email. Not true. When you call the person in India says we will have glasses to you when you need in 5 days. I will see but do not have much confidence now that I see they try to stay as far from customers as possible.
