Dr. Peter Chao
Introduction
Dr. Peter Chao is a state-licensed optometrist who graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2000. Specializing in primary care optometry, Dr. Chao uses cutting-edge technology and clinical expertise to perform a comprehensive eye health exam—prescribing eyeglasses, fitting contact lenses, evaluating eye health, and more for patients ages 4 and up.

Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

First, the customer service is great and the doctor is very nice! Have you seen their commercials??? In the day of a pair of companies that quote "a low price" for glasses are including the frames, the lenses and the eye exam. Now, when you watch the WP commercial, they advertise $95. Now, you may be fooled into thinking that price is all inclusive, but you would be WRONG! That only includes the frames. Without insurance, you could be leaving with one pair of glasses paying easily $300 - $500 or more. I personally would not go there again now that I know.

My first visit here and it was a great experience. Dr. Chou was wonderful. Really kind and gave me a really thorough exam. He went above and beyond to help. Anisha was the associate who signed me in and she was really sweet. I spoke with several of the other employees and they were also really nice.

I visited the store in the mall at Highway 75 and Bethany, I got all my questions answered, was satisfied the TV ads were honest, I was led thru the process by a very knowledgeable staff member, I purchased a pair of glasses, I feel comfortable with the complete process. I will return as I need to.

This was my second visit to Warby Parker in the past two years, and it was great to see the same staff still there. The eye exam was thorough and detailed, and the associate who helped me choose frames was very knowledgeable. They clearly explained important details about scratches, returns, and other policies. I’ve always loved Warby Parker’s style and had an amazing experience being helped by Ryan, someone who deeply understands and admires the company. He was extremely patient and stood by me to try probably around 20 frames and we discussed every one. I usually exhaust myself when choosing frames, but the way Ryan studied my selection and then casually found the right frames for me made me feel so seen. Every consumer deserves thorough service, but Ryan just did it too well and it’s honestly rare :) So happy with the frames we found but I’m even happier because I was helped by the right person! Love this location of Warby Parker! Great selection of stylish frames to suit everyone’s needs The staff is so friendly! The only names I remember are Anik & Zach but the whole team were friendly, helpful & knowledgeable!.This is my first time with progressive lenses and they measured perfectly and the lenses are great! I wore them out of the store! Worth the 2 week wait (actually ready in 10 days). Super affordable for the lens &! frame combo when comparing to other places. Extremely satisfied with my experience & I will be back!
