Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $35)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

I purchased computer glasses last year at my optometrist’s office. When I went in for my annual check up a few weeks ago, my prescription had changed. The quote with the frames I selected was almost $600. I decided it was time to listen to my daughter and give Warby Parker a try. First I uploaded a pic to AI and asked what glasses would best flatter my face. Then I walked into Warby Parker and was instantly greeted by two very warm and friendly employees. Within minutes the woman (Sam) was assisting me. She listened to my preferences and guided me to several great options. I made my selection and was able to pay a fraction of the optometrist office’s quote with frames that are better suited to me AND paid for it all with my HSA (hadn’t considered that option until Sam mentioned it). Oh I could’ve used my insurance benefits except I’d already maxed out applying it to my contacts. I can’t wait to get my glasses in! If you’re in the Baybrook Mall area in SE Houston, go see Sam. She was wonderful.

Great price and easy to use but best of all was an associate who was listening to my needs. After picking out my frames she was using the photo of my prescription when she noticed the prescription was for up close and not distance. She had me call home to have my wife check my paperwork and sure enough - there was a second prescription for distance that I’d not taken a picture of. Saved me time and money. Awesome.

We were greeted upon entry. The store representative asked us what we weee looking for and brought us several frames. Once we found the frame, they created our customer profile swiftly. They saved our desired frame since we wanted to walk first prior to making a final decision, no hassling. Once I decided that the frame was right for me, the same store representative pulled up my profile, took my measurements and payment. Smooth transaction and she explained the warranty and other features when purchasing through Warbu Parker. Wonderful experience!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Dr Patel was very accommodating to my discomfort to having anything close to my eye and made me feel comfortable. She also was very knowledgeable and took time to answer all my questions with a smile. I have been to several other providers over the years but now I think I found my permanent Optometrist.

I stopped by to look at frames and returned the next day to purchase. Both experiences were excellent. On the first day, Sarah helped me identify the "best few" options that met my requirements. I returned the next day, and she remembered me and what I had been looking at (impressive!). The pricing estimate she gave me on the first day was identical to the final purchase price. She was both friendly AND efficient in getting my purchase completed. By far, this is the best glasses purchasing experience I've had. I've seen the Warby Parker tv commercials, and thought how wonderful and easy it woild be to have everything such as uv, blue screen, scratch resistance and anti glare included. This makes decision making easy, leaving out extra costs. I found myself having to purchase new glasses and went to a Warby Parker store near me. They were about to clise for the evening and allowed me to enter. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and professional. I forgot my prescription at home, and was given a estimate on a pair of frames I picked out. I in formed the staff I would return the next day. I went in and different staff was there. I thought I would have to start all over. I was presently deprived that they looked up my info and within an instant they presented me with the frames. The staff had the same energy and presence of the previous staff. I was quoted the same price. I will receive my glasses at my home within 17 days, at no additional cost. My experience was outstanding.!!!
