Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

A huge selection of frames can be found here. Shelby, who assisted me, was very knowledgeable, helpful and honest about how various frames suited my face. Although the store was pretty busy the day I went in, I was given adequate time to try on lots of different frames and did not feel rushed at all. Lynn, the optometrist, was on hand to take measurements so that was a plus. I have been a repeat customer at this location because of its great service and selection. I highly recommend Warby Parker Rice Village

Getting my eye exam & buying my glasses in the same place? All with speed and convenience? C'mon, this was way too smooth. My only challenge was picking the right frame, and even then, I had the help of a super kind staff member who stood off to an angle while I scoped a pair in the mirror and said "Nice! These give you the dark tortoise look you're into, and also the heavier frame. They look great!" This gave me clarity & confidence in my decision and I LOVE my new frames! In and out in 25 minutes; eye exam, frame selection & purchase time included. Beautiful!

The gentlemen who greet us told another associate (Shelby) to check out my frames. Shelby came over and ended up helping us find glasses for me. Shelby was GREAT!!! Because Shelby was attentive and listening to us.

Arrived at exactly the 7:01 pm when store closed. Door open and big truck in front of store making parking hard. Walked in store just to have my new glasses adjusted. I asked if they could please just adjust my new glasses. Response from three employees looking at me. “No mam, we are off the clock.” I get it, it would’ve taken five minutes and they wouldn’t have been paid for those minutes. Had they helped me when their doors were still open, understanding it had taken longer to park because of the trucks, I would’ve come back and given five stars and just praised them. It’s an example of not going above and beyond in a situation. I’ll come back but wanted others to know that they don’t go above and beyond. * Meanwhile one of the large trucks moved behind my car and blocked me in causing me to sit and wait on them to move it.

The team was fantastic! They were friendly, hassle free, and also no pressure to buy which ultimately led me to purchasing my glasses from here. They helped file my claim with VSP after which was so helpful (thanks y’all!) and after all is said and done, I got a sweet pair of glasses for $55. FYI: I shopped around (Vision Source, Target, Costco, America’s Best) and honestly this was the best deal. Also, I like how if I don’t like my glasses I can get a different pair that day. I also appreciate the six month scratch protection and lifetime adjustments. Shop around if you want but I really appreciate the value and overall experience I received at WP.
