Dr. Shanna Manalel is a state-licensed optometrist who graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2022. Specializing in primary care optometry, Dr. Manalel uses cutting-edge technology and clinical expertise to perform a comprehensive eye health exam—prescribing eyeglasses, fitting contact lenses, evaluating eye health, and more for patients ages 4 and up.

Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $35)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

I was told I'd have my new glasses shipped to me and in my hands within in 14 days or less. So I ordered them. When I had not received any updates by day 10, I emailed customer service. I was told they were "carefully completing the production process" yada, yada, yada and I would have them on or before the 14th day, i.e. 01/17/2026.
When I had not received an update by day 13 I emailed them again lamenting that I would likely not have my glasses by day 14. They responded today (day 14) reassuring me again that they were "putting the finishing touches on it now..." and apologizing. So here we are at day 14 and they've not even been been completed, much less shipped.
That's my story. I hope future Warby Parker customers take my experience into consideration.

I was able to resolve the issue. Miguel the store manager contacted me. There seems to have been lots of misunderstanding and he was able to help me with my contacts and everything else I needed. Thank you for rectifying this issue and for caring about your customers.
Awful. I should have never had my exam here. They have not helped me what so ever with the issues I have been having with my contacts and etc… There is a lack of actual customer service here as soon as your eye exam ends. There is no after care, no customer service. Nothing.

After waiting three weeks for my glasses from GlassesUSA.com—and receiving a pair that fit completely wrong—I decided to visit a store in person. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by Tanishea, who gave me space to browse before I shared my concerns about my online order. She explained that with my high prescription, online glasses often don’t work because precise in-person measurements are needed. She even gave me tips I’d never heard in my 30+ years of wearing glasses.
I truly appreciated her customer service; it was excellent—unlike what I’m used to in Texas. Tanishea was wonderful: helpful, patient, and knowledgeable. The frame selections she showed me were both stylish and within my budget. I’d love to return for my fitting to find she’s recognized and rewarded for her outstanding service.
I travel often and choose Warby Parker because of their online convenience and growing number of stores nationwide.

I recently visited the Warby Parker CityCentre location, and I have to say, it was an incredible experience from start to finish! This was actually my first time ever getting eyeglasses, so naturally, I was feeling a bit overwhelmed trying to decide on a style that suited me. There are so many frames to choose from, and I had no idea where to start.
The staff at CityCentre were absolutely amazing. They were patient, friendly, and genuinely helpful throughout the entire process. I explained that I had no prior experience with glasses, and they took the time to understand my preferences, face shape, and lifestyle needs. Instead of just pointing me toward the most popular styles, they offered personalized recommendations that made me feel confident in my choices.
