Introduction
Dr. Michael Conklin graduated from the UC Berkeley School of Optometry in 2002. In addition to his optometry degree, he completed a residency at Eye Health Partners and specialized in ocular disease. Dr. Conklin is proud to be a member of the AOA and UOA. In his downtime, Dr. Conklin enjoys skiing.

Comprehensive exams starting at $85
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

They had a wide variety of frames. I have a small head so that limits the frames I can have. But they have narrow medium wide and extra wide. So I think that they would have something for everybody.

I had a really great experience at Warby Parker. The doctor was incredibly nice and personable, and you could genuinely tell he loves what he does, which made the whole appointment feel comfortable and easy. I just moved here from KY so it was nice to have an easy experience. The associates were also very kind, helpful, and welcoming from start to finish. Beautiful shop with friendly, efficient staff. I was greeted warmly as I walked in the door. My appointment with Dr. Michael Conklin was excellent. As soon as I was checked in, Dr. Michael came out and escorted me to the exam room. The exam itself was thorough and he explained everything clearly. I left feeling confident that my eyes are in good shape. I look forward to my eye exam with Dr. Michael every year!

honestly one of the most unprofessional experiences i’ve ever had, i sat for 20 minutes after my exam exam was supposed to start and they had no idea when it would be so i could get my exam. to clarify i was there on time and checked in then sat for 20 minutes before someone even came to check on me. the person working the counter was unhelpful and the only solution was to reschedule me since i had work in 30 minutes. they had no way to even ask the doctor when he would be done. this is super unfortunate since every experience i’ve had here was so wonderful but this left such a bad taste in my mouth.

Team was super helpful and helped me pick out styles. Knowledgeable staff. Told me 2 weeks on shipping. We got notification the next day that my glasses are already shipped to the wrong address, despite verifying with the attendant our correct address twice. I am not going to dock stars for the local company, but the corporate Warby Parker needs to review their logistic, I just hope they got the right prescription.

This was one of the best experiences I’ve had! Taylor made me feel like family from the second I opened the door. She got me checked in and helped me choose some incredible frames from their amazing collection. She walked me through each step of the process. Taylor helped me understand my insurance and made sure I got the most value out of it. 15/10 service! Dr. Conklin was fantastic as well and made me feel very comfortable.
