Dr. Shahla Kokabiyan is a state-licensed optometrist who graduated from the SUNY College of Optometry in 2018. Specializing in primary care optometry, Dr. Kokabiyan uses cutting-edge technology and clinical expertise to perform a comprehensive eye health exam—prescribing eyeglasses, fitting contact lenses, evaluating eye health, and more for patients ages 4 and up.

Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

You can’t beat their selection of frames and their prices are great for the level of quality that they provide. I live elsewhere but visited the One Loudoun Warby Parker store with my daughter. My granddaughter was getting new glasses. I had a recent eye exam with my eyedoctor where I live and was not impressed with their eyeglass selection. At the time of my visit with my family I did not know we were going to the Warby Parker store so I didn't have my prescription with me. I found frames I liked there. The store took my information, including insurance, measured my eyes and said an email would be sent to allow me to upload my prescription.
I received the email, sent my prescription and in no time was emailing with the Warby Parker company concerning my prescription including a different type of glass due to what was on my prescription. I was very impressed with their prompt response and expertise. I've been informed my glasses are being made and look forward to receiving them.

Warby Parker has been the best place I've tried to get glasses. I went in to the store and James really clued in to what kind of frame I was looking for and got me settled right in. Then a lovely lady came to measure and got me some better fitting glasses and measured for progressives. Outstanding customer service so far in the process. Moh was very attentive in helping me find a new pair of "reading" prescription glasses and a pair of prescription sunglasses. He asked me questions about how I use my reading glasses, and asked his co-worker to assist us with measuring where my pupils would align with the progression in the lenses. Great experience, and the best price that I've paid in YEARS for two pair of glasses! Great selection, great customer service, friendly and very helpful staff. I have a history with WP! They have great staff, selection & prices! I went in for the back in stock Franny frame .. its adorable! And got Blaise sunglasses too! Both pairs with all the great lens add-ons for less than some frames only in an eye doctor office! You can't beat it!

Great experience in the store but that stopped at the door. I was told I’d get them glasses on 14 days. I’ve gotten numerous emails from them saying my order is delayed - no reason, no expected date. Called last night to inquire- guy I spoke with could give me no real details. Told me the glasses were “close to the final inspection” or something like that. But couldn’t tell me how long that would take. Told me to expect them to ship by Friday but that was no guarantee. Few hours later, I get an email that they are ready to ship… with an estimated delivery date of February 17th! In what world do you need 10 days to deliver a product that is already over a week late? So if you’re in a hurry… beware!

Love the in-store experience - they were wonderful - unfortunately, I need to return the glasses for a new pair and the process isn't smooth, I asked them to replicated the order, with different frames and got way too many questions. Not happy with the on-line return/exchange process.
