Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.

Insurance, FSA, and HSA
Whether we’re in- or out-of-network with your carrier, you can use vision insurance to save at Warby Parker . (We accept FSA and HSA, too!)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

Charles Dowell, one of Charlottesville’s best Licensed Opticians, always takes such incredible care of us. We had our first eye exam with WP and were very impressed. We live aboard a boat but keep our medical care based in Charlottesville, which includes Charlsand his team. We like that we can travel to any number of places that have Warby Parkers. It is Charles who keeps bringing us back here. The staff is incredibly helpful.

Visited the store, each of us found frames we liked. We would have purchased glasses and sunglasses. Four sets of glasses - likely $2,000. Alas, they do not accept United Healthcare Insurance.
Purchased later for a similar cost at a competitor.
Nice service, good sales job. Not sure why they do not accept UHC insurance.

The staff here are some of the kindest people around. I am always greeted when I walk into the store. If everyone is occupied, they invite me to look around and let me know someone will be with me soon. The Barracks Road location of Warby Parker was a very good choice for me.
Exam tech explained all tests and worked quickly without rushing. Online doctor was thorough in reviewing my results and made sure to answer any questions I had.
Frame selection was vast! And frame consultants listened carefully to my preferences and were able to pinpoint several choices that met my requirements. I didn’t have to slog through lots if unsuitable choices.
And everyone was attentive and pleasant.
