Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

On 07/11/2026, me and my family visited the Warby Parker store for the first time, and we decided to get a pair of glasses shipped to our home. I have lived in northern Virginia my whole life, but we recently moved out of the area to a surrounding state. When I wrote my address information, the sales associate laughed!! While I did not say anything in the store, their behavior was extremely inappropriate and unprofessional.
This review is directed to the Warby Parker team that in the 21st century, laughing at someone’s address (specifically in regards to customer service ethics) is a form of ignorance, geographic discrimination, and elitism that should be dealt with appropriately.

Outstanding experience. My customer service representative, Sam, greeted me at the door and assisted me through the entire process. She was very professional and courteous, and also respectful of my time. She made the entire process easy. The store manager was extremely helpful with ensuring I understood my insurance benefits and with filing my claim. Overall, outstanding experience, highly recommended.

Posting this review on behalf of my fiance's experience today: We have Blue Cross Blue Shield. The Warby Parker website says they accept BCBS. He arrives today for his appointment and is told that "we only accept certain BCBS plans" and the cost of the exam is $130. The receptionist said "oh just submit to your insurance as an out of network claim, people do it all the time" This is deceptive and pushes the burden of fighting our insurance onto us and not the company that is falsely advertising the insurance plans they accept. They bank on people just paying the full cost because they're already there and fighting it out later.

I love Warby Parker! I've ordered glasses from them in the past, and I had a great experience there this weekend. They have a large variety of reasonably priced frames to select from. I love that I can go to the store and get help trying on and selecting frames, and also order more glasses online later as long as my prescription is valid.

I've been to this location before and always have had excellent service. The store is bright, clean, and has a wide selection of glasses. Khalil, the associate who helped me, was friendly and helpful and gave me what I really wanted, which was his honest opinion of what looked good. He did a great job and I picked a pair I loved in under 30 minutes while still checking out a ton of glasses. I had a great experience and I can't wait for them to arrive!
