Dr. Kathleen Leary is a state-licensed optometrist who graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University (PCO) in 1995. Specializing in primary care optometry, Dr. Leary uses cutting-edge technology and clinical expertise to perform a comprehensive eye health exam—prescribing eyeglasses, fitting contact lenses, evaluating eye health, and more for patients ages 4 and up.

Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.

Insurance, FSA, and HSA
Whether we’re in- or out-of-network with your carrier, you can use vision insurance to save at Warby Parker . (We accept FSA and HSA, too!)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

I had a fantastic experience here over the weekend! The team was extremely helpful in finding and recommending glasses shapes that would suit both my face shape and my high prescription. They gave me specific frame types to avoid and shapes/styles to lean into so that I won’t end up with the coke bottle lens situation. I really appreciated the way they approached me and what I was looking for!

I am so glad there is now a Warby Parker in Reston Town Center! I had been going to Tysons previously and found this (Reston) to be a much better experience for my eye exam.
Dr. Lear did the exam and patiently explained each step of the exam. Dani and Megan helped me with my Rx. They gave me all the options and great suggestions for my glasses which I really appreciated. I left feeling very satisfied and looking forward to my new pair of glasses.

This was my first time at Warby Parker, and I was so impressed. I wish I had been coming here for eye exams and glasses for the past several years. The staff were very friendly and helpful and advised me on how to get the most benefit out of my insurance. Eye exam was smooth and quick, and they had many varieties and sizes for each style of glasses. I went home from my eyeglass ordering experience genuinely happy for a change.

I wanted to give Warby Parker a shot after a friend recommended it. I visited in person and was disappointed by the experience. They had a nice variety of glasses on display, but the employees don't provide recommendations or assistance in choosing styles that might work best for you. You just try on glasses yourself and try to figure out what looks good, which is difficult if you need prescription glasses to see. I will be going back to my regular optometrist for more personalized recommendations. For some, the self-help experience of Warby Parker might be fine, but it wasn't for me.
