Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

It's being 5 weeks and I have no info from them, they where to order a pair of trial lenses and then call me to come for a fit appointment, its being 5 weeks and 3 phone calls to customer service who can not reach them either, the only way to contact them besides email is going to the store.
I never experience anything like this, they are really bad on following up with customers needs, I guess once they make the money for the examination they are good, but I am left with mo final prescription and no trial lenses to finalize my prescription.
I wasted my time amd money for nothing and still customer service said they will send them an email.

Great shop with chill staff - they follow your lead as the customer. If you need to be fast (as I did) then they will honor that, but if you need to take your time, ask questions, etc. then they will do that as well. I previously purchased with WB online and while most of those frames are fine, I preferred this experience of trying them on in the store and getting feedback from the staff.

I had a great experience from start to finish. The staff was professional, friendly, and respectful of my time—I was taken back promptly, and the entire visit ran smoothly. They were especially patient as I relearned how to put in contact lenses, which I really appreciated. The checkout process was easy, and they even handled my insurance claim for me. Their eyewear selection was excellent, and I found a pair I loved much faster than expected. Overall, it was a seamless, positive experience, and I would absolutely return and recommend them to others.

Wonderful experience today getting an eye exam and glasses. The eye doctor was professional and thorough and answered all my questions. The staff couldn’t have been nicer and everyone in the store greeted me with a smile. I got good advice picking out my glasses and was very happy with the selection of frames. The prices are very reasonable, and I got two pair of glasses for slightly more than I paid for one pair designer frames at another local eye care facility. I highly recommend WP, especially this location.

I am an optometrist and was visiting Richmond from out of town. I was having flashes of light in my vision and was worried, so I stopped by this location to see if they had a retinal imaging machine. William was very kind and gladly took me back right away to get the imaging done. I was very thankful for him and his kindness towards my concerns.

I discovered this Warby Parker location almost by accident while looking for what I thought was the only Richmond-area store at Short Pump Town Center — and what a fantastic surprise.
The store itself is beautiful, the selection is outstanding, and the parking could not have been easier. But the real standout of the morning was Nico. He pulled at least a dozen frames based on my face shape, eye color, and the styles I described, and he was incredibly skilled at narrowing down the options without making me feel rushed.
What impressed me most was how clearly he explained fit and sizing. Some frames weren’t sitting comfortably over my ears, and I worried that going to a longer fit would automatically mean larger-looking glasses. Nico helped me understand the differences and personalize the fit perfectly.
I walked out with orders for two ideal pairs of readers — one for home and one for the car — though honestly, with this selection, I could easily have left with six more pairs.
I’ve always loved Warby Parker, but retail professionals like Nico are what keep me coming back. Five stars to this location and to the company overall.

Great customer service and helpful staff. I worked with Hypnos, who was incredibly helpful. Hypnos made finding the right glasses fun and filed the insurance claim for me making it all super quick and stress free. I’ll be asking for Hypnos when I go back for my next pair for sure!

Moved to Portugal 1 1/2 years ago. Am in town for daughter’s wedding. Love Warby-Parker, made plans to stop by and get an eye exam done snd purchase new glasses. Don’t really want to buy anywhere else. Pleasant surprise was the Cary Court store opening since I moved.

I was visiting from the UK for a wedding and popped in here to see if someone could adjust my glasses, as Specsavers did a poor job and they were rubbing my ear. The salesman was amazingly helpful, adjusted my earpieces and would not take any payment. What a great experience.
