Dr. Cyrus Rad graduated from the UC Berkeley School of Optometry in 1997. He is proud to serve as an adjunct faculty member at the New England College of Optometry. In his downtime, Dr. Rad enjoys playing guitar, listening to music, and traveling.

Our video-assisted exams are performed by a panel of state licensed remote doctors. An in-person optometric assistant will perform eye tests to assess your vision, and then one of our remote doctors will video call in to the exam room to complete your exam

Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
The well-known portion of an eye exam where you read from a chart of progressively shrinking letters until they're too small to see
The part of the exam that determines your prescription for corrective lenses (if you need them)
A screening for issues like glaucoma and cataracts, and for signs of other health conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and more
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Insurance, FSA, and HSA
Whether we’re in- or out-of-network with your carrier, you can use vision insurance to save at Warby Parker . (We accept FSA and HSA, too!)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

I had a wonderful, in-store experience. My husband and I were warmly welcomed when we entered the store, asked how the could help, given time to look around at our own pace, and then every detail of purchase my glasses (including looking up my insurance) was done in less than 15 minutes….but not in a rushed way, kindly and efficiently.

I was scheduled for an 1pm appointment
Today and, 30 minutes before the start time, I received a call to “reschedule” due to technical difficulties. This was extremely disappointing, as the only option offered was another day that I simply cannot attend. I had taken time off work to come in, so the last-minute cancellation with no workable alternative solutions felt very rude and unprofessional. The experience caused a significant inconvenience and left me frustrated. I hope the team can improve their communication and offer more feasible solutions in the future if something like this happens again.

Terrible experience!! They didn’t take my insurance so I was going to pay out of pocket for glasses and sunglasses. I spent an hour looking for new pairs, worked with a gentleman to process my order (who was very uninterested in helping me from the beginning) and then realizing an hour later that I never received an email on my order. I go back and the order was never placed. They just simply don’t care!! I’m so tired of businesses treating paying customers like crap!!

Step into a quality experience of eyewear, I have been a fan of warby for years and this was such a great experience for my first in store visit. I had the pleasure working with Alex and Kyle and they were both fantastic. Alex took the time to check in and offer a variety of options and was able to walk me through different frame styles and suggest options for my face based on what I was after. I ultimately opted between Hector and Tobias - Tobias in seaweed green being the winner.
Kyle was just as gracious with me and was an equal delight to work with as well! They were able to work with a photo of my current prescription and link the order to my online account. The ordering process was easy and painless. I can't wait to get my frames, thanks team!

I walked in the store 12/30/25, where ther were a total of 7 staff there. NOT 1 staff greeted me, asked me if I needed help or said Happy Holidays! 😠 😡 I walked around approximately 7-10 mins...NOTHING! I even gave staff eye contact! Nothing! THE YOUNG LADY WITH THE BIG HAIR WAS STANDING BY ME AND DIDN'T ACKNOWLEDGE ME!! WARBY PARKER I WILL NEVER RETURN TO YOUR STORE!! Unacceptable!! 😠 😡 😤 😣

I’m a loyal longtime fan and customer but not anymore. This experience has been eye opening for me no pun intended. I find it interesting when the customer service person says what the rules are and I follow that rule their misunderstanding makes them become rude. I was told that I couldn’t use my old frames, cool. I picked new frames. The rep unfortunately is clueless I guess and thinks I am still attempting to use frames that I was told I can’t use 🤷🏾♀️? He calls the manager over who also is confusing I finally say said “I am buying new frames because I can’t use my old ones duh” the rep who wasn’t ever friendly says I am not helping her and walks off.🤭😂😂😂The manager completed my order and Warby Parker will not get another dime from me.

Great eye exam today at Warby Parker @ the Lynnhaven Mall. Walked in the store and before i knew it… I was getting an eye exam. …and they did the full back of my eye type exam.
Dr. Said he had a few concerns, so when I get back to Florida, I’m going to have my eye Dr. check a spot on my Cornea.
Also ordered 2 pair of glasses and they are mailing them to me in Florida, since I was just in town for a few days visiting my kids.

I had a bad experience at my last eye exam. I also had an examination at another place that was good, but I had to go somewhere else for the glasses. I like that I was able to get my glasses where I received my examination. And this examination was better and the doctor was more attentive. My last eye exam, I received the wrong prescription and it messed me up. So, I'm grateful for Warby Parker.
