Comprehensive exams starting at $115
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

I’ve had an overall good experience here. I did an eye exam with no vision insurance so I knew what to expect. But I can see how some people would get confused about being in- network because of their website but for me, I usually always call in (either a clinic, private practice, etc.) to get confirmation about in- network insurances because of past experiences. Maybe there should be an a disclaimer on the website to always call the standalone stores to confirm insurances? Just a thought 🤷♀️
In summary, I liked the optometrist I had, the sales people, and loved the styles of the glasses. I always had the same shape and color of my glasses for years and never knew unique styles would look adorable on me! I will continue to come to WP for my eye needs (:

First time here and never coming back. I checked their website 3x if they take our insurance for eye exam and it said $0 copay, in-network but they still made us pay $115. If their website was wrong or if they are out-of-network, it is their obligation to tell their customers that they are OON prior to performing the exam. Such a rip off.

Great as always. I've used Warby Parker for many years. They are a little pricey for progressive lenses, and their insurance options are terrible (I've always had to pay 100% out of pocket). But I have never found frames that fit so well, so I keep going back.

i’ve been shopping WP online for a decade now, but haven’t needed a new pair of glasses in awhile. so when i found their at-home try-on program gone, i was bummed. luckily i found a box store near me! it was actually nice to try a bunch of things on the spot rather than 5 at a time. i visited on a friday afternoon, they were mildly busy but i was still checked on several times. the salespeople were friendly, explained all my options clearly, and checked me out very quickly! overall great experience

I had a very frustrating experience at the Warby Parker location in Alderwood Mall (Lynnwood, WA).
Before my appointment, I completed all required paperwork online, including entering my insurance information. When selecting VSP, there was no indication anywhere in the process that this location is out of network. Based on that, I drove to the appointment expecting my insurance to be accepted.
When I arrived, I was told at the front desk that they are out of network with all VSP plans and that I would need to pay out of pocket and seek reimbursement on my own. Had this been clearly disclosed online, I would not have scheduled the appointment or driven all the way to the store.
The lack of transparency feels intentional and extremely misleading — as if the expectation is that customers will just follow through once they’ve already arrived. That’s not acceptable, especially for something as expensive and important as eye care.
I canceled my appointment on the spot and left annoyed. I would not recommend this location unless you are paying entirely out of pocket and are aware of that before you book.
Update: since I can't leave a comment after the "store owner" responds to my initial comment I'll just edit my review to say this. you may want to think about letting people know their insurance is out of network when they add the info to the website, I'm sure thats a corporate thing and not a store specific thing yet it's still extremely annoying to have driven all the way there. No need to respond further as I wont be back anyway.
Additional update: I've been receiving invoices and requests to pay a "cancellation fee" which I feel just adds insult to injury, this whole thing has gotten way out of hand.

I had such a great experience at this location today. My appointment was after an overnight work shift and I was dreading the appointment/picking frames. Aaron (hope that is correct) was beyond helpful in assisting me to find frames that I like prior to my eye exam. They got me excited and way more awake for the process. I came out from my eye exam and they had pulled a few more frames for me to try. I ended up choosing two pairs from what they suggested. The eye exam and check out process was also very smooth and easy which I appreciate. This was legitimately the best experience I’ve ever had at an optometrist in thirty years of wearing glasses.

The employees at the Alderwood location have always been very kind and helpful. I have purchased many pairs of eyeglasses including sunglasses and have been very satisfied. They have a really big selection to try on in store and I like their online option to select 5 pairs to try on at home.
