Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

Almost nothing but problems. What was originally quoted to me as a 5 day turnaround has tripled due to problems on Warby's end and inability to get my order correct or processed.
I ordered a pair in store on 4/21/21 and was supposed to get them in 5 business days. I got a pair but they got the prescription wrong, and even though the sales person in store took a photo of my prescription they didn't have a record of the image when I called customer service to report the error. They found the error in the prescription and apologized and told me they would get another pair out to me in another 5 days.
So after another 5 days I hadn't gotten it and called to find out my glasses hadn't even been made because they goofed again. They had everything they needed just never got it processed. But they never contacted me to let me know something was wrong until I called to check on the order. So now I have to wait another 5 days to get it. They gave me a $40 discount but honestly I just want my glasses so I can see again. Hoping to get them sometime next week if I'm lucky.
The only pro (and the extra star) is that the customer service team is not out-sourced, is genuine, friendly, and empathetic and did what they could to fix the situation, though as of now it is still unresolved.

This location strikes a rare balance between accessibility and ease: set just off the street with a generous footprint, it’s conveniently by light rail and even more so by bus which I found an underrated advantage since parking around here normally tests my patience.
What distinguishes the experience (beyond the gorgeous windows and seeing the sun shine through them), is the staff. There’s an evident cohesion to how they operate, less a sales floor, more a well-coordinated and friendly team. Assistance feels collaborative rather than transactional, and the tone throughout is refreshingly unforced. At no point did the interaction slip into dreaded upselling; instead, there’s a quiet, concierge-like attentiveness that prioritizes fit and comfort over margin.
In a retail category that often leans hard on pressure, this restraint stands out. An excellent experience, and an easy recommendation.

Recently went in for an eye exam and to choose some new frames. Dr. Boparai and Onna were super helpful explaining the options I had available to me. Helped me choose some snazzy frames and gave practical explanations and good advice for choosing one option over another. Also, I really appreciate that they help with the insurance claim for the frames/lenses. I can't wait to pick them up. Overall, I was in and out the door in 45 minutes. I couldn't ask for better service.

I’ve been a Warby Parker fan for several years and have visited multiple locations in Seattle and the Bay Area. Even though I have to find street parking, I consistently prefer this location because the staff are so helpful, experienced, and patient. I’ve also had the best results with frame adjustments here — they really take the time to get the fit just right.
This week I came in looking for new computer glasses after realizing the pair I bought online a few months ago just wasn’t fitting the way I wanted. I’m so glad I decided to come in. Kya made the search feel effortless, even delightful. She listened carefully to what I was looking for and thoughtfully presented several options that truly suited my needs. I decided to pick up a pair of sunglasses too and am really excited about both pairs :)
Before this, I’d only purchased frames online from Warby Parker, but this in-store experience was far more personalized and enjoyable. Kya was an exceptional consultant and a wonderful sounding board throughout the entire process.

Even though they don't take VSP insurance they applied for out of network benefits on behalf right there in the store. Highly recommend them if you need new glasses.

Impressed & Relieved
Personally, I found the in-store experience seamlessly positive; whereas their online purchasing didn’t work for me.
My friend and I both needed new prescription glasses; however, there’s close to a 40 yr difference in our ages. I needed Progressives; she did not. It was very helpful and facilitated our getting this process completed quickly … and it as enjoyably as I can imagine recognizing that I do NOT like clothes (or glasses) shopping. Millions of options makes me want to flee; however, the staff were fully present with us. They all knew the full product line, pulled out what we needed, offered other styles when we explained something that still WASN’T quite right for us … they cut our decision-making time to its minimum. We left the store excited that this task was behind us…and excited about receiving our new glasses in about two weeks

Love that we will have a full 30 days after receipt of glasses to return them - for any reason. I certainly do not want to; however. it is important. I’ve found with age I no longer can get away with almost any weight or style glasses…the skin on the bridge of my nose gets bruised very easily = becomes quite painful if not very light and a perfect fit. Not a single style, of the many WP styles of glasses I tried on, felt like they would be a proble m for me. Not as expected!
Even so, having that 30 day grace period to return any glasses if they later prove uncomfortable…🙌🏼👌🏼
Lastly…I love the Warby Parker Mission! It parallels my own beliefs. We need so much more of such companies!

I accidentally sat on my glasses and needed to repair them. The staff at WP let me know that the damage was outside of their repair policy. But they were able to help me leave the store with funcitional glasses by placing my existing lenses in a set of new frames. They were even able to help me with a discount :)

Weirdly condescending staff? Was sort of taken aback. Had the same experience at both this store and the University Village store. Came in for an adjustment, was told I was basically responsible for them being adjusted poorly and that 3 month old glasses weren’t “new” so the need for adjustment was expected. Felt like I was inconveniencing them by being a customer.
