Book an eye exam
This location offers comprehensive eye exams for glasses and contacts. If you've never worn contacts before, we offer complimentary training (with any order) on how to insert, remove, and care for your contacts.
You don't need anything but your eyeballs to peruse and try on our frames. If you're planning to purchase prescription frames or contacts, it's helpful to have a digital or physical copy of your current prescription. If you'd like to pay with an FSA or HSA card, remember to bring that along, too.No prescription handy? Not a problem! You can come in just to browse, shop for non-prescription sunglasses and accessories, or can book an eye exam at most locations.
We're in-network with several major insurance carriers, and we also make it easy to use out-of-network benefits. (Coverage may vary by location or plan.) Get all the details here.

Yep, at all of our New York locations! Come in for a 15-minute DMV Vision Test with one of our licensed opticians, no appointment needed. The test is $25. (If you don't pass, no worries—we can schedule a comprehensive eye exam for you.)

This was my second visit to Warby Parker Rockefeller Center. Service was great, no wait time and I just walked in without an appointment. I would suggest they have more seating options in this large store to sit and try on new frames …I will update my review once I receive my 3 new pairs of glasses

CUSTOMER SERVICE TOTAL FAILURE !!!Very Bad, Eye Doctor entered wrong prescription info and I had to go back and tell them to update it, which they didn't. Customer service Email is TOTALLY USELESS - they couldn't look up my account after I gave them order numbers, email. FORWARD THIS TO MANAGEMENT!

Beatrice was very helpful with my appointment, glasses return, and purchase, and she was super friendly. Dr. Mekawy was also great—she was very thorough with my exam, took the time to explain everything, and addressed all my concerns in detail. Overall, I had a great experience at Warby today.

My experience was great. From the exam to the end process of picking my frames (which included a pair pf prescription sunglasses), the visit was effortless and seamless. I would highly recommend to anyone purchasing the same rather than visit an traditional optical store. Warbu Parker saves you $$$ and you get fashionable eyeglasses at the same time.

I'm not someone who post reviews, however I absolutely must in this case. I dropped then stepped on my glasses in the middle of my workday today. I completely broke off the left arm, and the screw backing was bent with the screw still inside 😔.... it didn't look like it could be fixed. Beatrice Joseph an optician at Warby Parker Rockefeller was able to perform a miracle fix on my glasses, ensuring the perfect fit and functionality. Great staff at this location. stopped in my local Warby Parker to have my lenses renewed, I have a new prescription. Their prices have risen quite a bit. They are no longer "breaking the mold" but have aligned their prices with all of the other major eyeglass chains. What a shame :-(

Updated review: after posting a 1-star review, I received a call from the store manager who is working to make things right. I appreciate her accountability and customer service.
Original review: I was convinced to get my reading RX in the lenses of my sunglasses. Now can’t use them. The prescription and the polarized lenses makes them unbearable. I went to the Rockefeller store to get the prescription lenses removed and to have them replaced with regular lenses. I was told simply replacing the lenses would cost $130 and the salesperson say it would be cheaper if I just bought a new pair for $95. That is so unbelievably callous, wasteful and ridiculous! I reached out to customer service and they responded with, “We are really sorry this happened, and we understand the frustration it is causing you.” No attempt to make it right. They lost a customer and I will tell everyone I know to avoid them.

The doctor who performed my eye exam explained each part of the process clearly and gave me helpful options so I could make the best decision for myself. Camila guided me through every step, from the moment I walked in until the very end. She was incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. I recently got my glasses at another Warby Parker location, but the prescription seemed a bit off. I came to this location to get it rechecked, and I’m so glad I did! The staff were incredibly helpful and kind. I explained my situation, and although I forgot to get the associate’s name, she was absolutely amazing. Because of my schedule and how busy the weekend was, she helped me book an appointment at another location to make sure I could be seen as soon as possible. She went above and beyond to assist me, and I really appreciated her generosity and professionalism. The vibe of the store was super welcoming. Overall, a great experience!

Earlier in the day, I called to reschedule my 4:00 PM appointment to 4:30 PM. The representative on the phone confirmed the change, and I even left work early to ensure I arrived in time. I showed up early for the 4:30 appointment that had been confirmed—but when I arrived, I was told the appointment could not be honored after all.
To make matters worse, the staff member I spoke to in-store was incredibly rude and dismissive. I was shocked by the lack of professionalism and the complete disregard for the fact that I had confirmed the time change ahead of time.
This experience was not only frustrating and inconvenient but also a poor reflection of the customer service I’ve come to expect from Warby Parker. I hope this situation will be addressed seriously, and I would appreciate it if someone could follow up regarding how it will be handled going forward.

I went to Warby Parker Rockefeller Center a handful of times over the past few months - looking at frames, getting opinions of friends, and finally taking the plunge to order some glasses. Lisa helped me through the buying process, quoting different enhancements for the lenses and beyond. Her patience and kindness made the experience enjoyable.
