This location offers comprehensive eye exams for glasses and contacts. If you've never worn contacts before, we offer complimentary training (with any order) on how to insert, remove, and care for your contacts.
You don't need anything but your eyeballs to peruse and try on our frames. If you're planning to purchase prescription frames or contacts, it's helpful to have a digital or physical copy of your current prescription. If you'd like to pay with an FSA or HSA card, remember to bring that along, too.No prescription handy? Not a problem! You can come in just to browse, shop for non-prescription sunglasses and accessories, or can book an eye exam at most locations.
We're in-network with several major insurance carriers, and we also make it easy to use out-of-network benefits. (Coverage may vary by location or plan.) Get all the details here.

Yep, at all of our New York locations! Come in for a 15-minute DMV Vision Test with one of our licensed opticians, no appointment needed. The test is $25. (If you don't pass, no worries—we can schedule a comprehensive eye exam for you.)

Zach was great about answering all my questions about glasses and Ant handled my contacts on point.
I did not catch the techs name that fixed my nose pad but she was fast and the fit is sooooo much better.

The optometrist was lovely and attentive, but the sales associate, Britanny, was extremely pushy when trying to make commission. It was mentioned to them several times that I was a little behind schedule, and in turn would like to return on a consecutive day to make a purchase. I asked if I could simply pay for my exam, and the response I received was: “It only takes two seconds. You have to.”. Once I once again refused and mentioned my schedule conflict, the sales associate walked off to a supervisor and started while pointing my way and rolling her eyes during their conversation. This not only made me feel extremely uncomfortable, this has also caused me to never want to purchase from Warby Parker or return for an eye exam; Especially as a younger customer, I felt extremely targeted and looked down to. It was such a shame to have had such an experience and I truly hope those who visit the store after, whether in the same circumstance as me, or of the same age group/demographic have an experience that lives up to the customer service standards that Warby Parker advertises.

I have been going to the Union Square Warby Parker for all my Warby glasses and every time I walk in I am greeted with a smile by the reps at this store I will name 3 of them for starters although they are all very helpful. Kim, Chris & Nikeem have been helping me with all my eye glasses and the fact its in my hood I love walking in getting help when I need it. They are professional, very pleasant and efficient. I went to have an eye exam and buy glasses. I had a great experience, was welcomed by everyone as I came in, was told exactly how long I’d wait for the exam and then got called early. Then it was time to pick my glasses… I am NOT an easy shopper for glasses. I’m so indecisive and the an hour to pick something. In swoops wonder Warby Parker employee Nikeem! Nikeem was able to put me as priority while multitasking many customers. He always came back to check in and make sure that I was satisfied with whatever pair I had on. He gave honest opinions and thorough responses to my questions. He made me feel like a star and made sure I was getting the best monetary purchase out of the multi-pair discount. I would not have walked out of here feeling like a queen without his help! Every Warky Parker employee working at this location on Tues 5/27 from 4:30-6pm were fantastic! Thank you!
