This location offers comprehensive eye exams for glasses and contacts. If you've never worn contacts before, we offer complimentary training (with any order) on how to insert, remove, and care for your contacts.
You don't need anything but your eyeballs to peruse and try on our frames. If you're planning to purchase prescription frames or contacts, it's helpful to have a digital or physical copy of your current prescription. If you'd like to pay with an FSA or HSA card, remember to bring that along, too.No prescription handy? Not a problem! You can come in just to browse, shop for non-prescription sunglasses and accessories, or can book an eye exam at most locations.

Yep, at all of our New York locations! Come in for a 15-minute DMV Vision Test with one of our licensed opticians, no appointment needed. The test is $25. (If you don't pass, no worries—we can schedule a comprehensive eye exam for you.)

I’ve been a Warby Parker customer for many years, and I can honestly say their customer service is excellent. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and willing to go above and beyond to help. On my last visit, they patiently worked through manually entering my insurance information so I could complete my purchase without any issues. I do hope Warby Parker streamlines the insurance process in the future so employees can focus on assisting customers more efficiently, especially during busy times. I Had a great experience at Warby Parker Union Sq. We were visiting from Europe and my son broke a branch on the frame of his prescription glasses. We went at different optic shops in the neighbourhood to try to find a solution (permanent or temporary) given that we did not have the time to wait for new lenses to be prepared. Nobody could help us, but one shop on the other side of Union Square advised us that if a shop could help us, it would be Warby Parker a block away. And indeed, Lemond helped us! He tried several solutions, adapted screws and frames, but just as important as his expertise, he was professional and friendly. Without going into the details, he offered the most cost effective solution given our medical insurrance abroad and as result a new pair of glasses that can last for years.
Lemond's colleagues Kim and Paulina also very kindly helped us on another visit 3 days later just before our travel back.
This team offered us the best experience we could wish for, and now i understand why even the competition in the neighbourhood send their clients this way.

The optometrist was lovely and attentive, but the sales associate, Britanny, was extremely pushy when trying to make commission. It was mentioned to them several times that I was a little behind schedule, and in turn would like to return on a consecutive day to make a purchase. I asked if I could simply pay for my exam, and the response I received was: “It only takes two seconds. You have to.”. Once I once again refused and mentioned my schedule conflict, the sales associate walked off to a supervisor and started while pointing my way and rolling her eyes during their conversation. This not only made me feel extremely uncomfortable, this has also caused me to never want to purchase from Warby Parker or return for an eye exam; Especially as a younger customer, I felt extremely targeted and looked down to. It was such a shame to have had such an experience and I truly hope those who visit the store after, whether in the same circumstance as me, or of the same age group/demographic have an experience that lives up to the customer service standards that Warby Parker advertises.
